Let’s Help Republicans Get Ready For The Presidential Primary

You know me. I like to help the downtrodden; the people in need, those searching for help, people who need a lift.
NOW PAY ATTENTION REPUBLICANS. I am going to teach you how to get back to your core beliefs in time for the presidential primary. REPUBLICANS MUST:
Believe that Jesus loves you and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

Believe Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him/ a bad guy when Bush Senior made war on him/ a good guy when Chaney did business with him/ and a bad guy when President Bush needed a “we can’t find Bin Laden” diversion.

Believe that trade with Cuba is wrong because it is a communist country, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

Believe that the US should get out of the U.N, while our hightest national prioritiy is to enforce U.N. resolutions in Iraq.

Believe a woman can’t be trusted with a decision about her own body, but multinational drug corporations can make decisions affecting all mandkint without regulation.

Believe that the best way to improve military morale is the praise the troops in speeches, while slashing veterans’ beniftis and combat pay.

Believe that if you keep condoms out of schools, adolescents won’t have sex.

Believe that a good way to fight terrorism is to battle our longtime allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

Believe that providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy, but providing health care for all Americans is socialism. And believe that HMO’s and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart.

Believe that global warming and tobacco’s link to cancer are junt science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

Believe that a president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense, but a president lying to enlist our support for a war in which thousands die, is solid defense policy.

Believe that the Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the internet.

Believe that the public has a right to know about Hillary’s cattle trade, but George Bush’s driving record is none of our business.

Believe that being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you’re a conservative talk show host. Then it’s an
illness, and he needs our prayers for his recovery.

Believe in supporting “Executive Privilege” for every Republican ever born, who will be born, or sho might be born (in perptuity)

Believe that what Bill Clinton did in the ’60’s is a vital national interest, but what Bush did in the ’80’s is irrelevant.

Believe that you must support hunters who shoot their friends and blame them for wearing orange vests similar to those worn by the quail.

Believe that if you don’t send this to 10 other people, we’re likely to be stuck with more Republicans in 2008…now THAT’S a scary thought.

Ok, undersand it all now, Republicans? Once you renew those core beliefs, you will be in great mental shape to make the appropriate decision in the voting booth. Good luck with that.

A Google search turned up 78,600 hits
for ” Believe that Jesus loves you and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton. ”

So If GERRY says “NOW PAY ATTENTION REPUBLICANS. I am going to teach you how to get back to your core beliefs in time for the presidential primary.”

BUT it is copied, should not there be references?

Maybe Gerry could run for President with Joe Biden. Plagiarism is in.
Tell the three of your readers why we would take your writing course?

Damn, detecting this forgery was too easy.

  2. Gerry Fulcher Says:

HOW COULD HAVE I EVER UNDERESTIMATED THE BOTTOMLESS PIT OF YOUR IGNORANCE…..I THOUGHT THE WHOLE WORLD KNEW THAT THESE THINGS COME FROM THOSE SMART-ASS LIBERALS WHO DO THESE THINGS ALL THE TIME IN LIBERAL PUBLICATIONS….I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THIS ONE CAME FROM…BUT ONE OF MY PEEPS GAVE IT TO ME….LIZ ALLEN, WHO RESEARCHES LIKE HELL. I presumed you would know what every one else does….namely that this genre of writing comes from political attachers….I also find them fun…..Now here is where a conservative intellectual like yourself should match it with original examples of this hypocrisy …how about you…do it; your life if pretty much filled with lots of time to waste….why don’t you do one on the democrats….I’ll bet you can’t…..democrats don’t exhibit that kind of hypocrisy…..

  3. Pat Gibbs Says:

Plagiarist Detector III had not one word to dispute whether or not what Gerry said was valid , instead tried to foolishly attack the credibility of the writer. “why don’t you do one on the democrats….I’ll bet you can’t…..democrats don’t exhibit that kind of hypocrisy…..” You hit the nail right on the head Gerry… or should I say wingnut. I am often left to wonder if most republicans wear blinders, or are stupid, simple, or slow? Or are they just so cold and have so little feeling for their fellow man? I am often reminded of the exit poll interviews after the last presidential election when one Bush supporter was asked how he could justify voting republican considering the lack of jobs, health care, the factories closing, jobs being shipped overseas, people dying in an unjust war, etc. This fool answered: “We don’t mind if it hurts us, just so long as it don’t help them.” Which is it? Stupid, Simple, or Slow?

  4. Plagiarist Detector III Says:

    Pat Gibbs,
Even your remarks sound as if you believe that Gerry wrote the talking points. Gerry did not. He copied them.

Pat, You said:”Plagiarist Detector III had not one word to dispute whether or not what Gerry said was valid ”

POINT is GERRY did not say it, did not create it. It was copied.

I agree with many of the remarks.

What was wrong is the presentation,
from someone who proposes to be a professional writer.

    Gerry copied this.
By point is it is not Gerry’s original work.
He should identified the source, “Forwarded by Liz Allen”, perhaps.

    Google the first line.
    I did, and I got 78,000 hits.

My post had nothing about refuting the comments.
This was posted as if Gerry was the author.
    That’s plagiarism.

Gerry’s opening was a direct lead in.
“NOW PAY ATTENTION REPUBLICANS. I am going to teach you how to get back to your core beliefs in time for the presidential primary. REPUBLICANS MUST:”

  5. Pat Gibbs Says:

    Plagiarist Detector III
    Gerry said

I’ve seen similar writings on blogs like Crooks and Liars.com etc. Like comedians, bloggers ‘steal’ from each other frequently. You remind me of those people that run around looking for ways to downgrade others or the kid that would rat you out to the teacher in school.

  6. Plagiarist Detector III Says:

Lets see, if Gerry said “I THOUGHT THE WHOLE WORLD KNEW…”

    Then why repeat it?
Surely the whole world INCLUDES the Republicans….

Then Gerry’s post was 78,600 plus 1 times redundant.

  7. Duffy Says:

This is great! Now I can copy anything I find anywhere and pass it off as my own! Read my new book; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It’s my book because I added “Now pay attention young people…”

Can’t wait for the royalty checks.

  8. Gerry Fulcher Says:

Hey Pat; of course you had the definitive answer to these guys. Thanks for saving me the time. I knew that a straight up-front guy like you would use your real name…..unlike that anonymous group of losers. It’s amazing isn’t it Pat, how these blogs really do pull the assholes out of the woodwork. It’s like these guys never had a life before they learned how to use a computer. We probably saved a few lives, Pat. We got their collective hearts pumped up. We gave them something to get out of bed for each day….otherwise they would have been lounging around with no purpose in their dull lives, other than thumbing through aluminum walker catalogues. Keep in touch Pat.
By the way…I just and a memory flashback; I read that Republican thing on the air once or twice; and stated that it was sent to me by a listener who found it somewhere. It’s called humor, Pat, something that you and I know about, but apparently they don’t

  9. Pat Gibbs Says:

Right on Gerry. Humor. Something me you and Milton Berle know about. Milton Berle, a legend and considered the greatest joke ‘thief’ in comedy. Everybody else–get a life.

  10. LIZ ALLEN Says:

Gerry: its obvious that repukes identify themselves in the post. I ain’t helpin no repuke win anything….its time to throw them all out….anyone who won’t distance themselves from the neocon/zionists, do not deserve any support except maybe for Dog Catcher.

Gerry didn’t steal this or plagerize it…I got the email passed it on to others who would already know “if you are paying attention” that the facts were done humorously…but then repukes have no sense of humor when truth is put in their face…

  11. Plagiarist Detector III Says:

Pat, One of your previous jobs was working in a copy center.
    Now that’s HUMOR.

Gerry presents himself as an accomplished writer. He Challenges us to take his writing course. If he leaves out accrediting sources, then he and his students are in seriousness jeopardy of losing credibility for the originality of their thoughts and words.
Gerry’s entry was not properly accredited.
Not everyone is familiar with the passages that Gerry posted at the opening of this blog entry.

For those who believe it was ubiquitous, why bother repeating it?

Pat and Liz, this is not a joke, unless you want us only to consider the comedic parts of your opinions.
I forget who said it, paraphrased, “Gerry is no Milton Berle”. [ With apologies to JFK.]
Pat, Let’s concentrate on the humor and seriousness of Bill Cosby, today.

Liz, If it is not properly accredited, yet presented as one’s own, it is plagiarized.
I have no problem agreeing with many of the passages, so do not think for one moment that my opposition is because of the contents.
The passages identify flaws on both sides of the political spectrum.

    — Accredited definitions follow: ——
    From m-w.com
Plagiarize: to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one’s own : use (another’s production) without crediting the source.

    to commit literary theft

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Plagiarism is the practice of claiming, or implying, original authorship of (or incorporating material from) someone else’s written or creative work, in whole or in part, into one’s own without adequate acknowledgement.

    — from m-w-com again. —-
Humour or humor (see spelling differences) is the ability or quality of people, objects, or situations to evoke feelings of amusement in other people.

Satire may rely more on understanding the target of the humour, and thus tends to appeal to more mature audiences.
Liz, work on your sense of humor. And lay off the generalities.
The above definition of humor does not differentiate across party lines,
there are plenty of Democrats lacking a sense of humor. Many are Delaware Democrats.

  12. Gerry Fulcher Says:

PLAGIARIST DETECTOR: The real joke is not that Pat managed a long time established printing facility. The real joke is that only gutless freaks like you expect to be believed. Who believes a man (if that’s what you are) who has no name? Do you know what real people say about your type? You should hear some of the conversation when real people, real loggers, real writers say and think of nameless assholes like yourself.
Pat Gibbs—is a real man with a real name. He was a prime mover in detecting and exposing the street money corruption involving Al Plant and Rev. Wright. On the otherhand you are a namless slug who is ashamed of himself, and who has to hide your identity; probably for good reason..
I’ll lay odds that you never did a single thing to improve this city, to clean up corruption, or fight bad politicians, or anything at all. And do you know why you can’t do anything like that? because you would have to become a real person with a real name….gutless asshole.
By the way, as I said, I read that republican thing several times on the air and said where I got it from then. Besides, it’s not like you are a real person, so who gives a rat’s ass about anything you say? Get a life, no, wait! Don’t get a life…get a freakin’ name. Let me suggest one, how about “MF” that’s for Moronic Freak, of course. Hey, I just refreshed my memory of what moron means….it fits you perfectily: “a mentally retarded person, whose intelligence is equal to that of a child between 7 and 12 years of age…..yeah, that fits you nicely. See ya later MF

  13. Sticks and Stones III Says:

    Names, names names.

Maybe someday you will forget the criticism and hatred you have for others, and perhaps respect them for themselves.
Maybe you will become more tolerant of others, whatever their IQ or even if their intelligence is between 7 and 12 years of age.
Maybe you can accept diversity of though.
Maybe trying to insult people will stop.

Until then, all you have to attack are the ideas and opinions presented above.

But you refuse to engage in discussing what has been presented.

Sometimes the true winner is not the person who needs to take credit.

I can describe nothing more universally prejudicial than the personal attacks that you level at whomever YOU PERSONALLY take a dislike to.

You call anonymous posters gutless assholes,
you bait them into personal attacks.
And yet you do not know them.
Robert Brown investigated and uncovered much of the data on
Hazel Plant, Al Plant and mis-appropriated money.
Where did the investigation go into the $80,000 that never got
    entered into Hazels ladies group?
Where was the outrage when Helene Keeley loaned $50,000 to cover a street fund need, when there were needs in her own district that were unmet? Where is the proof that it was returned?

Where is the outrage with the three school districts giving $750,000 to NOR enterprises? Now Red Clay admits there are financial short falls?
Red Clay has a state oversight committee watching their finances?
    But Norman goes unscathed.
Was it Pat Gibbs that ran against Helene Keeley?
    Was it Liz Allen?
Politics, being what it is, is a very tenuous game.
Candidates get attacked, many times PAID just to defend the incumbent.
Reputations are ruined. Jobs lost. Accusations abound, and there are no corrections. No way to repair the damage.

Having seen that, there is no need for anyone to surrender their anonymity, just to satisfy your curiosity, or to be personally attacked by you or your name calling.

Gerry, your knowledge of 7 to 12 year olds, puts your name calling and baiting right in that age range yourself. You never left the playground.

  14. Pat Gibbs Says:

    Thanks for the kudos Gerry.

Plagiarist Detector III, how did you know where I worked? And considering your referencing Bill Cosby you obviously know I’m Black. I have to wonder how you know who I am being that I never stated my occupation or race in any of my replies. Of course having the courage of my convictions and having written for several publications I’m not unknown on the streets of Wilmington. I just curious to know how you know who I am. Oh my God! You’re not one of those crazed stalker dudes are you?

About your reference to Mr. Cosby, you exposed something about yourself. What are you trying to say? A Black man can’t enjoy the humor of Milton Berle, Myron Cohen, or how about Lenny Bruce?

Let me cut throught the crap and stop the BS. I know exactly where you’re coming from with your reference to Mr. Cosby (whom I greatly admire). When you talk about the Bill Cosby seriousness you obviously have in mind his recent criticisms about the problems in the Black community, many of which I agree with, and have pointed out many times myself. That why I have no problem exposing Black politicians to the light of justice when they are corrupt. Bill Cosby, like myself criticizes the Black community with love and concern, and understanding the oppression we must be well educated and prepared to deal with. Bill Cosby understands that unless we are at our best, we will not have the skills and tools to deal with the struggle that we face. Unfortunately wretched ignorant racist fools like yourself view Mr. Cosby’s criticism as an opportunity to say “See niggers are f’d up. Even the Cos says so.” Like I said you exposed yourself wilth your little reference to the Great and
Wonderful Cos. I know your type.

  15. Sticks and Stones III Says:

    How about Dave Chapelle?

My type? OK I am glad that you are not in denial about the criticisms
    that Bill Cosby has made.
I am not criticizing ANY whole race, that’s blind prejudice.
Each race has positive and negative attributes.
Any NOT everybody shares those attributes.

I have tired long ago of those who blame ALL white people for
white supremacy and racism. Blaming every member of a race,
any race, of an attribute, positive or negative, is prejudicial.

So NO, I DID NOT push the Cosby remark to the extreme extent
that you assumed above. And as I said, I do not accept that
preponderances of any race can be attributed to each individual.

When you say you know “my type”, just what does that mean?

Gerry professes a psychological profile that anonymous posters are “gutless assholes”.
I did offer for his Psychologist to talk to mine. But his Psychologist remains anonymous. Fancy that.

As an anonymous poster, I can exercise my opinion. And when I am
in error, I can accept it, and change. Then I will not be judged to be
    so “Wretched and Ignorant”.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciated your comments.

  16. Pat Gibbs Says:

    Sticks and Stones III,
My last reply was for Plagiarist Detector III, who suggest I concentrate on the humor and seriousness of Bill Cosby. When I say I know PDIII’s type, I mean I know the type that profess great love for Dr. King now that he’s dead, but probably considered him a trouble maker when he was alive and hated his guts. When I say I know his type, I mean I know the type that would have us believe Dr. King’s dream has been achieved, yet refusing to recognize the racism that Black people still have to deal with everyday, refusing to understand that Black people started ten miles behind the finish line, refusing to recognize the wounds of not just slavery, but the wounds of the oppression of segregation. When I say I know his type, I mean the wretched, ignorant, racist fools who take great joy in agreeing with Dr. Cosby’s criticisms, but have none of his love and concern. When I say I know his type I mean the type that allowed the Reagans of the world to play on his racist ignorance and tricked him into voting against his own interest. If any of this applies to you, then I know your type.

By the way, I love Dave Chapelle

  17. Sticks and Stones III Says:

From: PD III, S&S III and Nemesis III,

Ignorance comes from different backgrounds and experiences. Also from our families and communities, our schooling and our religions.
Ignorance is not to say we are stupid,
…… it is to say that we are not aware of other views or facts.
    Ignorance can be overcome,
……. but there is also a need for mutual understanding.
When I have been confronted with someone demanding that I show
understanding and compassion and empathy for their plight, and yet
they do not want to share mutual understanding, then lacking mutual
concerns and understanding prevents further discussion and cooperation.

The love and concern is lost.

If the discussion becomes confrontational, where does it go?
If someone can not take their experiences, openly discuss them,
and challenge other’s experiences, then there is no opportunity
    for growth and better understanding.

    Again, thanks,

  18. Gerry Fulcher Says:

DEAR DICKS BUT NO-STONES: Oh, I’m sorry, did I get your name wrong? Having been a teacher, college professor and college department chairman, and executive director of several very productive human service agencies, and more…I have held many insightful. professional, erudite, intellectual challenging conversation with many well respected colleagues.
But when it’s YOU, talking about you happey horseshit philosophical debate techniques; you don’t deserve anything except what you are getting.
You see, the people I deal with and hold polite, meaningful discussions are all PEOPLE. They have real names, they are real people. They have nothing to hide. We speak with mutual respect….YOU DON’T QUALIFY.

I WILL NEVER MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO HOLD AN INTELLIGENT OR RESPECTFUL DIAGLOG WITH A PHONY NAME…WHICH MUST BE A COVER FOR A PHONY PERSON…. I have to respect a PERSON. I have no respect, and only disdain, for an nameless asshole….So I suggest you take your own advice……didn’t you say something like, “It is impossble to have a meaningful discussion with bla bla bla……..” You’re right, Sticks and Stones…..you will never have such a desired written exchange with me with me…..because you and your name will never deserve one.
Find another way to “get off”; have you tried a lubricant?

  19. Pat Gibbs Says:

PDIII,S&SIII,&NIII or whoever the hell you are, I have to agree with Gerry.
    Gerry said:
“I WILL NEVER MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO HOLD AN INTELLIGENT OR RESPECTFUL DIAGLOG WITH A PHONY NAME…WHICH MUST BE A COVER FOR A PHONY PERSON…. I have to respect a PERSON. I have no respect, and only disdain, for an nameless asshole….”

III you just don’t get it. The thing is, I understand you clearly. I am going to close out my contribution to this debate with a quote from Dr. King: “There is nothing in the world more dangerous than willful ignorance and sincere stupidity.”

  20. Sticks and Stones III Says:

“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and consciencious stupidity.”
    -Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Only the wisest and stupidest of men never change.”

    Personal attack
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Generally, a personal attack is committed when a person substitutes abusive remarks for evidence when examining another person’s claims or comments. It is considered a personal attack when a person starts referencing a supposed flaw or weakness in an individual’s personality, beliefs, lifestyle, convictions or principles, and use it as a debate tactic or as a means of avoiding discussion of the relevance or truthfulness the person’s statement. It works on the reasoning that, by discrediting the source of a logical argument, namely the person making it, the argument itself can be weakened.

This line of “reasoning” is fallacious because the attack is directed at the person making the claim and not the claim itself.
The truth value of a claim is independent of the person making the claim.

No matter how morally repugnant a person might be, he or she can still make true claims.

For example, a defense attorney may claim that a witness’ testimony cannot be trusted because he is a convicted felon. On the other hand, illuminating real character flaws and inconsistencies in the position of an opponent are a vital part of the public political process and of the adversarial judicial process.

Use of a personal attack in a logical argument constitutes a formal fallacy called ad hominem, a term that comes from a Latin phrase meaning “toward the man”.

  21. Gerry Fulcher Says:

BINGO!!! WAY TO GO STICKS AND STONES! …..You finally understand what I have been trying to get across to you throughout this entire blogging and comments and blogging and comments….I AM DEFINITELY THROWING MY INSULTING CAUSTIC RETORTS AT YOU IN THE FORM OF PERSONAL INSULTING ATTACKS. How clever of you to recognize that. That is all you deserve. You have paid me the untilmate insult…to think that you and/or your assinine logic deserves anythng but contempt without being an actual person with an actual name. What you do is the ultimate in disrespect…and lack of respect will always be my response to you. You are not a person, and that is an afront to me; you and your anonymous bullshit. Why should I treat you like a PERSON, when you don’t treat yourself as a person? Therefore, all you deserve is a PERSONal attack. I wouldn’t take that if I were you. I would have enough self respect and self exteem to just not bother with someone like me. Get even with me….by ignoring me.

  22. Sticks and Stones III Says:

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eristic, from the ancient Greek word Eris meaning wrangle or strife, often refers to a type of dialogue or argument where the participants do not have any reasonable goal. The aim is to win the argument and to not potentially discover a true or probable answer to any specific question or topic. Eristic dialogue is arguing for the sake of conflict, fighting, and often to see who can yell the loudest.

  23. Pat Gibbs Says:

Gerry I was going to leave this alone after my last comment, but this so hilarious. This intellectual midget with his quotes and definitions are breaking me up. Eeeewww “eristic dialogue”, what a turn of a phase. I tried to give this fool some lessons but he just didn’t catch on. What a glutton for punishment. This entire thread is classic. Gerry you should save this to your hard drive. Whenever you get bored pull this shit out and have a good laugh. damn. Say good night Gracie.

  24. Sticks and Stones III Says:

  25. LIZ ALLEN Says:

gerry: for the record….I ran against Hazel Potted Plant twice. It was the demorat party under the leadership of Robert Marshall (Marshlewitz) and perhaps Keeley that did my campaign in and I know it. When I campaigned door to door, I had those votes. When election day came, my neighbors and friends came to me and said, Honey Marshall put out the word “just skip the race between allen and plant”. He used his intimidation of some of the elderly polish people and told them a pack of lies, calling me a “crackpot”, “nut” and the worst candidate in the race! Now why would Marshalowitz do that! Because he was terrified as were many in the demorat party that I could not be bribed, would be standing with the citizens, not corporate Delaware, not blind party loyalty. With Plant they could use her, abuse her and have her vote! Thats was more important to the Demorats than having a candidate who would actually “help” the citizens by delivering good government legislation, not mediocre pandering.
